look in your RCA manual, the basic circuits are in every manual
The hard bit is how to regulate what ever power supply you set up.
Select a B+, and build a variable bias supply, then its two volt meters
and ma meter on the plate. You can regulate a PT with light bulbs on the CT.
Makes a good cheap power attenuator too.
A low mu triode on the CT can be used too vary the B+ and give a measure
of regulation.

I'm not sure about the load on the short test of maxi matcher, i've never used it. I'd assume it does you have to set the correct voltages and bias point.
