Hi John,

if it is of enough importance for you to do some labour (and spend some money): yes, obviously.


1. Step: Do some www-research in order to find a way to contact Steven Rosen
2. Step: ask him, if he still sells copies of the tape and if you can buy one and post its content.

If he says "Yes":

3. Step: make an according deal with Steven Rosen.
4. Step: Find a way to transfer the audio signal of the tape into some common kind of data-file.
5. Step: Find a way to post a link to this file right here.

If Steven Rosen says "No" (or you can't get in contact):

As you write, a friend of yours will send you a printed version of the interview.

As soon as you got it:

a) find a way to translate it from german into english and post the translation

or

b) post a scan.

Redwood lumber core is still a choice of HD.

I have the Dumble book - that’s what is written there. For head cabinets he says spruce plywood is preferred material.

I have been wondering what is the thickness of wood used be HAD on the SSS and Dumbleland head cabinets.

As per post above (thanks hellrot) the wood are probably Spruce plywood, but are they 15mm (.6") or 18mm (.71"). Does anyone have good intel on this?

That would be 3/4" as the 'nominal' sizing we use, (.75) but they actually are really ends up 5/8" or ~16mm as the real size (not sure why they do that).

I think if both sides are 'finished' then it gets a touch smaller yes.

In the UK we use 18mm Plywood. That's the closest to 3/4inch. It's heavy but very sturdy and easy to work with. I've used it for all my amp and speaker/combo cabinets.
