Maybe the reason is that the original mod is done in the vibrato channel, where there are an extra gain stage betwen the 3rd gain stage and the P.I.sidehatch wrote:My tech just called (marty ryan at lone wolf guitars) who is a really good tech.

He said Dave Funk is a great amp tech and can't understand why it wouldn't work. Unfortunately, I still have to pay him for his work even though he put it back stock ($140). He did fix a few other things but basically this mod cost me $70 to not hear.
If you guys can do it yourself and figure out what is wrong it might be cool but I wouldn't rely on those instructions.
In the Normal channel, the signal goes direct to the P.I. from the 3rd gain stage (the stealed half 12AT)
A good solution (as i said in my first post...
) could be send the signal throw the V3-B, sharing it with the vibrato channel.just my 0.00000002 euro.
