Yep that was one of my other first albums.

They came to Salem a few times in the 70's.

King Crimson "In The Court of the Crimson King" and Pink Floyd "Saucer Full of Secrets" both purchased at the same time. Pretty sure they were 4 bucks each as I got change back from a sawbuck even after taxes.
If it don't get hot and glow, I don't want it !

I was 11 yrs old,The allbum was Sticky Fingers,Could not figure out how to play those songs and make them sound right. It was the open tunnings that got me.Sometime around then I bought a book with a ton of Stones pictures.I drooled over the guitars in it for days.
Later or soon after I got the southern rock bug.All we wanted back then was a black LP costume. There was a lot of fenders available in the early seventies.Wish I could get a bit of cash and time travel. The seventies were a pretty awesome time to be a kid.Cool thread!!!!

I think it was a Cream album (LP).

However, long before I was spinning LP's I had three different styles of 8-track tapes and machines to play them on, each has a different style wheel mechanism to spin the tape. I had so many Doors cartridges that a guy gave me because they had the very old style player hole on the end of the cartridge.

I also had roller rink 45 rpm players run through a Stromberg/Carlson tube amp in which I collected every Beatle record I could find. Auction sales with my dad and brothers was fun.
