2 quick questions....

1 - Do the small caps across the 1000u caps need to ceramic? Film OK?

2 - Tants on the output...can I use small electros?

I have film and electrolytics on hand - would need to order the others.

Film rather than ceramic is fine for the input caps. For the output caps, tantalum has significanyly less ESR than same-value lytics, and so is a better line of defense in keeping the regulators stable. However, lytics is a better choice than none.

You might want to read the data sheets of the specific regulators you're using as most of the time they will tell you the size and type of caps they reccommend at the input and output.
