[quote="paulster"]So, over the last week my Liverpool has had 1K, 1K5 and now 1K again on the screens!quote]

So, what differences did you hear between the two screen resistor values?

I haven't had the opportunity to crank it since I started the changes, so it's difficult to say.

When I swapped out the M27 transformer for the new OT I put the 1K5s in at the same time, so there were two changes at that point. Now I've gone back to the 1Ks (and obviously kept the new OT in there) so as soon as I can crank it I'll really only be able to compare it pre- and post- transformer swap.

Tone Q: Does it matter that much for the Liverpool/Express Screen resistor as to the composition? Got a choice between some cement Xicon's (ton's on hand) and some others hanging around; wirewound I believe (they're round).

I'd really like to know this as well. I want to know if I can just go downtown and try to find some here in Calgary, (B&E Electronics), or if I just order some more from Mouser (Dale Vishay?)

I swore I saw one place had 3w vs 5w resistor value too? There has been so many BOMs and changes and I have got them all stored. I need to get rid of the bad files.

I use the Vishay/Dale wirewound from Mouser. They are the black ones with white writing. They are the same as the Greenies I have. Quite a few wrecks I've seen use them also.

Well, I hate ordering stuff and waiting, so I found these in a local shop that are who knows how old. 12W wirewounds. They might be too big to fit easily, but the only others were cement at another shop.
