True, the overall phase will flip 180 for each common cathode stage. However caps do cause some phase shift as a byproduct of their operation and this is what I am interested in exploring. We had an intersting discussion a while back (https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.ph ... le&start=0) about why reverse wiring the speaker cable can sometimes give you more feedback. My feeling is that certain frequencies can initiate/sustain this feedback easier than others and I expounded on that theme in the thread. Actually there are many factors that contribute to feedback (just consider a hollow body guitar for one example). Long story short- I just wonder if boosting certain frequencies as I have done could cause a change in feedback sensitivity even though, overall the phase has not changed 180. Flipping the cable phase may or may not make a difference. It is a long shot, but worth investigating. I believe getting more controlled feedback is the next area I want to concentrate on with my amp, even though I am thinking in this case my guitar with its poly coating may be the limiting factor. I would love to try a nitro finished hollow body through it...
