Cleaning Fluke tip leads?

I had one lead on a Meterman go bad, but not on my Fluke 187 which I've had for several years now.

Not to say it couldn't happen, but it would be a bit of a fluke. Sorry about that!

I don't think the leads went bad by themselves...if they did go bad and it's not just a mess on the contacts, it would be the same way I ruin everything - rolling it over in my amp chair!!!

Chinese after market leads are hit and miss. I have some perfectly nice ones I bought for my oscilloscope. Should be less than $10.

I grabbed some new leads from this place HMC Electronics, local to Boston, and the meter is working perfect again.

I think the problem was just abuse on the leads. Thanks everyone for your help.
