So that beat piece of crap costs as much as a real '69 in the same condition now. Whoda thunkit.

I just got a call. Color change. Sherwood.

Started a Telecaster while I was waiting for stripocalypse to dry enough to scrape. It's Tyne Bridge Green. OMG THE ROYALS ARE LEAVING THE HOSPITAL!!! Gotta go!!

Doood, that's an ultra rare Ashford and Simpson relic model from the custom shop, worth twice as much now that Nick Ashford is dead.

Stripped as it's ever going to be and skimmed with epoxy filler.

The owner is worried on timing so I am going to do it for free and with shit quality Yeah I'm pissed off.

edited because I talked to my buddy and he feels great. What's to bitch about.

I say score one of those balsa-wood bodies from China off eBay for $50, add overnight delivery, and call it a day.

And a smile always works on me. I feel better. Thank you.

Previous spirit will stand. No more. I should have blocked it out with 220 and brushed on latex. You can't make a dumbass happy.

I don't understand why you're doing it for free, Miles. Sounds like the guy is making changes on the fly and being unnecessarily demanding. Time to up your estimate!

Tom, good call on the oil and gunstock finish. Barring the color I couldn't be happier. The neck is perma slick and the grain pops out like a jack in the box. Needs tiny yellow and red/brown added. Green/brown would be a tragedy. lol

Lou. He's a friend in some trouble. Long time, long story. He needs me to do this and that is the deal.

Yep. Check it out below. Damage all gone.

First clogging coat to build a new painting surface. I will sand this back to smooth then a couple real primer coats and we are ready for color.

Weather is not on my side.

A friend, indeed, Miles.

I hope that putty plug doesn't pop up and bite you.

You're good people.

If you put a big ol' honking divit in the lower bass bout, it'll look just like my '80s Tokai. Not a bad thing...

I might be a good guy. You are one for sure. I just used one of your hand-me-downs to make food for the day.

Sayin'.. that's a big deal around here these days.

Lookin good Miles.

I also have used epoxy to grain fill on exotic tops.
Really makes the grain pop.

ReRanch sells a nice Sherwood in nitro.

Yes it is amazing what they get for those CS relics......

I about puked when I saw that Joe Pass tele at a store.

Wait, the new King is born?

Hold the press, they haven't named him yet?

Gotta go!
Tom
