I have a DR103 ready to go together.

Experimenting with lower wattage is the way to go. This amp needs to live either as Hiwatt or get another OT and make a stereo.

A Quad 6V6 constellation is not be sniffed at.

To the OP:
Been using Partridge iron for thirty years now, expect a huge, clear bandwidth, so you could consider a modest bass amp.
Personally, i would not try a Marshall direction with this iron.
