I have boatloads of spaghetti.
What are you doing this weekend?
I'm in Columbia and a trip down to GA wouldn't hurt.

Hmmm.. What are you doing tomorrow morning? I am from Augusta. Maybe I could surprise my mom and fix her network problems for lunch.

Re: Bruisemaker in progress
Made some progress anyhow. Finished subbing in the old caps and resistors, installed the new choke, finished up the deck work, installed all the pots and switches then spent two hours comparing this setup with every other JTM to figure out what the PT connections used to be. I think I figured that out.. a year into this and it's my first time dealing with a tube rectifier.
The original B+ wire is all still there, and I have enough snips off transformers to put in where the voltages are higher. I am going to try to get it gunkin' by tomorrow night without the clipping network and extra gain stage.
Too dark for pics. Maybe the best time to take some though. lol
'Nother day.

Augusta isn't but a three-beer drive for me.
...As they measure distances 'round these parts.
Savannah?
That's a ride.
Got caught up in a St. Pattie's Day influx while trying to depart there many years ago.
Wife and I were ignorant of what a BIG deal that holiday is in that place.

Savannah is a violent historic piss bucket. Hrrmmph!
I am really failing in the old age here. Did I ever tell you the story of going to buy a '65 Mustang FB and finding fourteen-trillion NOS tubes in Columbia? Just did, maybe again.

LOLELP!
I forgot to order 5w 1k. Will 470R be ok? You are going to say no, aren't ya?
I ran 34s in the other one without even thinking about it. This is the first amp I ever messed with that didn't have the 1k already, or at least in the pile. What are my options?

Re: Bruisemaker in progress
you using Mullards ?I htink They will be fine with 470 as long as your not runniing 600 volts or something.
I just did about the stupidest thing I've ever done. But I got some practice at arc welding. So you should do the opposite of what I say.

No, RFTs, new JJs or pulls of Amperex 6550s. Voltages will be JTM45 reissue and a touch less for the most part.
Damnit.. I dropped the bawl.
