I believe your diagram is correct, but I don't know if I'd want to use such a thing. I have no experience with it but inserting it between the OT and the speaker might be less than optimal.

Looking forward to the build and trying the Classictone iron.
I used Mercury in the last build and had no complaints apart from the price. Ouch!
