Another popular scope you might find used is the Sencore SC61.
I've worked in several "Sencore Shops" where the majority of test equipment was supplied by Sencore through a financing plan.
The SC61 is comparable to the lower priced Teks and has a built in digital meter.
Calibration - I'll go on record as saying that calibration can be important depending on what you trying to do, but is certainly not a deal killer.
In the presence of an accurate DVM with a counter calibration is just icing.
The most important thing on a scope used for audio is solid stable triggering.
I'm not sure what vintage of scopes might be completely solid state (other than the CRT) so that might be something else to keep in mind if your looking at older scopes.

Re: Tektronix Scope - Expert Opinions Please
Thanks again to all for the advice. I believe I will pass on the ebay scope and continue my search. There certainly are a ton of "taken from a working environment - no returns allowed" scopes on ebay!!!
I'll have a look at the Sencore (among others). The meter I mentioned above is a Sencore FE149 I got used from a CB/Ham radio repair guy. Perhaps I'll become an "all Sencore shop".
So I have the Sencore, an old Heathkit VTVM and three DMMs. They all give pretty much the same readings for DC voltages and low frequency AC, but they get completely out of sync when I try them on the 60Kz oscillator in my tape echo. Not a surprise, but I would like a good way to get a reading I can trust to adjust the heads.
