I had two George L leads around which were about 5 and 10" long. The highs did vastly improve, but I've lost the effect of the higher capacitance on the overdrive channel. I dare say it is time for Gil's passive high cut circuit.
Where do you locate your Dumbleator to use 2 or 3 foot leads?
How long are the leads to your effects?
I would imagine the leads to the Dumbleator would be the longest leads (which is crazy, as it sort of defeats the purpose of DL.)

OR higher snubber value on V2b.Mark wrote: dare say it is time for Gil's passive high cut circuit.
Try a total of 330pf-800pf on V2b to get a high end balance between clean and OD, that suits your taste.
Very short and yes the leads to/from the dumbleator are the longest. (my cables to/from dumbleator, measure 140pf each, which is a bit too little capacitance. I prefer 200pf)Mark wrote: How long are the leads to your effects?
Mark, you should regard the dumbleator as a tone machine and part of a system.
Diva or not? - Respect for Mr. D's work....)
Re: Tube choice in the Dumbleator?
I have my D'lator sitting on top of my amp.
I use two six inch or so patch cables to connect to the amp.
My TC Elec. G Sharp (reverb and delay) sits on the D'lator and is patched in with short cables as well.
The cables to my pedal board are roughly 10 ft each. I used Mogami 2524 cable for that. It is 39.7 pf/ ft so not super low pf.
I have a Boss RV-5 reverb set to modulation, a chorus and a EHX Stereo Memory Man in the loop.
The G Sharp is last in line.
Into the front end I have a Peterson Strobostomp2 and a EB wah wah.
