Hey jorde, dont worry about the details, as long as its up and running.
The first 10 or 15 amps I built were not so hot on the inside either. After a few the rules become inward, and intuitive.
My only critisism is attaching the faceplates to the board is a recipe for disaster if anyone ever drops the amp (and they will...).
I think you comments about info being hard to come by are wrong. You have the same resources for info any of us have, no matter where you are, just get on the net and read. Now sourcing parts may be a bit more difficult, but if you can become a smart scavenger then that may ease that issue.

Congratulations.
Where are you in Spain?
Re: Bluexurious, new custom tube amp
There are no faceplates, when the company that builded the chassis I designed give it to me I cleaned it and I gave a brick of white paint and I just took a marker and wrote the letters of all the controls with it. It's looks like primitive but I really like the final result.briane wrote: My only critisism is attaching the faceplates to the board is a recipe for disaster if anyone ever drops the amp (and they will...).
You are right, but what I mean was that it's a little bit more difficult for me to understand some webs, 'cause there's a lack of technical tube amp documentation in spanish and reading or translating some english webs takes sometimes a long time for me, 'cause people usually use some specific vocabulary that was new for me and words that sometimes not even appears in the dictionary, or not in the context they were, or phrases which I was not sure if I understood its correct meaning, it's true we have the same resources but sometimes it's more difficult to understand for me. By the other hand, there have been some building tips that I didn't read anywhere that it was no good, tips that possibly if I should look on some other webs possibly I would know it, but during all the amp process I had to write the technic memory, studying in the university for the rest of the subjects I had pending, and working in the evening, so I hadn't time enough for studying some matters about building.briane wrote: I think you comments about info being hard to come by are wrong. Despite of everything, all you are right that there are some things in my amp that can be unadmisible for an amp builder, and that I could do so many things better than I do, and I really will, but I thing that sometimes using imagination and moving over the rules, although sometimes I move over the rules just for ignorance, when it doesn't cause a real impact on the final result (sound), it makes all the work a little bit more rewarding and makes my amp a little bit more custom, if professional amp builders will pardon the expression, I think you understand what I mean.
