plate resistors
ciao;what is the real benefit to raise the value of the plate resistors?In some amps mr D used 100k and 120k on the bottom.THANKS

BTW there's no inherent benefit in larger plate resistors, it depends...
some ideas:
- larger plate resistor if the load from the next stage is very light means more gain
- larger plate resistor combined with typical rk values means lower idle current, a different biasing point with different character
- larger plate resistor means increased output impedance from the stage, so different freq response if the load is reactive/inductive
- larger plate resistor means a different load line, draw it on plate curves to see differences
