andrew - OK, so you lowered the 25UF cap at pin 8 to 4.7uf. Right? and then you increased the 500 PF!! cap to 1000PF!!(.001uf same thing). Is this also correct? Your values were a little off I think?
OK, if you are going for super clean and transparent here, just replace the 500pf cap with 100pf or 250pf - something LESS that 500pf. (Don't be adding uf - and certainly don't be putting a 1uf cap here. But I think you made a mistake in what you said?) This, changing the 500pf to 100pf, will reduce volume quite a bit also because you are limiting the bass in the signal. Make sense? So you will end up with a brighter amp with less output. Somehow I am thinking this is your goal now.
Let me know.

Most people stall out when fixing a mistake that they've made. Why?

Re: looser feel
reviving an old thread, but I'm very curious what might have been found in this case

Re: looser feel
spiralstairs,
You have a Rocket I take it and how long have you been playing through it? Maybe it needs to be played for a period of time before it loosens up?
I can't complain about my Rocket at all but I don't have any clips of any of my amps something I need to work on. I have not done any mods to the amp and feel it doesn't need anything other than I would mind for it to be louder.
