After working a few evenings I finished all my wiring and then went back over the layout/schem several time to make sure I hadn't forgot anything. I did all of the voltage tests and was happy mine were +/- 2 volts on the higher voltage stuff or right on the money. I was apprehensive when plugging in my guitar after hearing how temperamental these can be. I was all smiles when all went well and I did some testing for about 5 minutes and then checked bias again. I took it to practice today and everyone gave it rave reviews. I only turned it up 1/2 way for a small time, but no extra noise and very quiet. Just wanted to say thanks to all of the helpful people on here. Now I'm just waiting for my cab to be completed and then on to another build.
Turn your volume up to between 12 and 1 Oclock on the Express. It -should- be in overdrive/distortion and wailing.
Use your guitars volume knob to control clean to mean. I -never- used my volume knob(s) as much before. The cleans are sweet, and you can precisely control the breakup point.
