RV4 Potentiometers

Post by FunkyE9th »

I've been using the $3 pots from AES. Are the RV4's really worth the extra money? They are about $10-$15 a pop. I'm not interested in whether they will add more "mojo" to my amps. Just want them to last longer and not get all scratchy. Should I just stick with regular pots and a can of deoxit? :)

If you are referring to the PEC brand, I think they are better. Better Taper, feel better, and much better construction. Also, i found some 5 K linear at Fry's for $6.95. And they are not made in china.

Yup, PEC was one of the RV4 brands I saw. Saw some Clarostats, Reon and CTS too.
