It does seem to have taken a few EJ twists and turns :D Any SSS info is welcome in this thread though, and was the main point of the thread.

Just trying to rouse any of the guys here who have been under the hood of one, and get them stirred up enough to give a little more info ;)

He, my first post.

And not even an original. No doubt several of you have noticed this:

not even sure what's going on here. But, it appears to be THE opportunity to see a SSS.

I'm a bit far away or I'd go. Somebody in the area should get down there, take a look, and make a report! :D

So are there NO gut shots of the SSS on the web?

Here is one I found that shows how the 9 pin sockets were wired to the circuit board. Perhaps someone has the complete picture and can post it in this thread...

Gut shots

Post by FUCHSAUDIO »

Hey Steve: Nice to see you here !

The only SSS "gut shot" I saw was the picture in the Dumble article a few years back, with him sitting at the bench with the bandana around his head. The amp on the bench appears to be an SSS, and man, it looks pretty complex.....lol.

Have we got any good pictures of the SSS? I was thinking of making a chassis run if I can verify the look of the front and rear panels.

I would also need to know the chassis dimensions as well.

Any and all SSS photos would be greatly appreciated as would any other info.

All info and a reasonable discounts on a silk screened professional chassis will be passed on the AGF.

Thanks,

rj

#1 is Henry Kaisers
#2 is John Mayers
#3 Was david Lindley's
#4 is Henry Kaiser's
#5 was eric Johnsons
#6 ?? Maybe Carltons from Renegade Gentleman?
#7 SRV

I know Kirk Hammett had one, and there are a few others out there.

They have alot of circuit boards, but the circuit is pretty basic.

He only ever had one. He originally ordered two, but HAD ended up keeping the second one. They had a disagreement of sorts.

Colin James had one (great Canadian player) for a while. His management people put it up for sale in one of the local music trade magazines (the 'Rocket' for you NWesterners) a few years ago. They were asking $4k Canadian for it. Needless to say, I was too late on that one. :(
