I finally got my faceplate (Thanks Eric!!) mounted on the amp, so here are a couple shots of the "finished" product. This is the "drawer-cab" with a stained finish- not perfect, but not too shabby for ~$60. It may not meet the standards of some, but I just couldn't swing for one of Distortion's cabs (closing on a new house).... but it is functional.

I did not have the Dymo labeler option, so I used my Brother P-touch labeler and while not legit, I don't hate the look either..

Eric's face plate is a big plus, as usual

Thanks guys, yeah, I'd say I'm pretty happy with it- lots of hard research and build work, but BLOODY HELL, what a beautiful noise...

I am playing it through the 2 greenbacks in my 1975 Marshall 50W combo, but hope to soon see what it does with greenbacks in the empty JCM 1960A cab I have waiting on funds for proper speakers... pricey bit, this amp building....

I have had people ask how I could ever consider retiring (I'm a long way away, but one can dream), getting bored with little to do.... I'm afraid that this amp building thing (and an occasional round of golf) will fill the dance ticket nicely...

It looks like one helluva 'Wreck.
That drawer implementation is a great alternative cabinet any way you slice it.

I think you moved this board a long ways forward.

Thanks guys, it was a blast to build.. I guess my intent was to show that the drawer cab was passable as a stained cab. Other than a few areas that took stain much to darkly, it came out acceptable.. and the dovetail / finger joints actually look really nice.

Most guys will cover it for a gig cabinet, which makes sense. I will probably do one in Tolex too so that I have one to bang around. Tim's Cynthia cab wins hands down though for coolness..

One day, I'm gonna get me one of them there Larry Mann specials though..

Dan- I might have run over on a few lunchtimes working on the documents, but generally did it on my own time...
