Proper fuse rating for my 6V6 build

Post by dehughes »

Hello again,

I'm just about to get faceplates made and wanted to have the correct fuse rating printed on the plate. The amp in question is essentially a Brown Deluxe, but with cathode biased 6V6s and an octal in place of one of the 12AX7s. Would a single 2A fuse be a good rating for such an amp? I wager that'll be enough...but too much? Maybe a 1A? What do you think?

Thanks!

2amp sounds good to me.
If it says "Vintage" on it, -it isn't.

Well, a brown Deluxe uses 2A. If you are just changing a preamp tube, then the power requirement should be the same.

Right on. Thanks. I figured I was safe, but wanted to be sure...
