Sunnyland Schematic/Values for the Bluesmaster?

Post by v00d00blues79 »

I've seen several references to this, but I've not been able to actually find a schematic or any other information regarding this... Anyone care to share this with me? or point me to a location where I might find this information? Just curious. :D

Thanks!

Look in the files section - there is a least 2 Schematic variations of the "BluesMaster"

I've looked at most all of the schematics located in or relating to the Bluesmaster circuit and I've not seen one labeled 'Sunnyland'. I was mainly curious as to where this came from, and if it directly related to a document here on the site. I built mine based on a set of values that I saw and was curious as to how they differed from those.

Thanks,

Andy

Hi Andy,

I tried six or seven combinations of values in my bluesmaster build and settled on the Sunnyland values that were provided in a spreadsheet posted by AmpDoc1. Those are in the latest schematic.

Those values were chosen based on the distortion thresholds that resulted and the range of 'compression' that was available in the controls.

To my knowledge these values are not standard or documented publicly in a real dumble tear-down... but then, I don't have any proper set of values documented from a real dumble bluesmaster to put in the schematic so I went with the most complete set of rumoured values... and tested a number of possible combinations to make sure I didn't end up with disfunctional values in my build.

Just my intuition (or desire) that a real bluesmaster is probably something a bit further removed from a stock HRM with fender stack and marshall PI...

Very interesting spreadsheet AmpDoc created, for sure. I've got a question about it, though: there are pots listed as "100kL" and other pots listed as "100kB." Am I to interpret both of those as simple linear pots?
