Since we're on a tone clip binge...

Post by Normster »

...here's a clip I did last night with my Tele and a new 1 x 12 speaker cab that Loren dropped off last night. Just going for some bluesy break-up with the HRM. (Ignore playing...I certainly did. )

Now I am really wanting a Tele! That is a very soulful sound. The tone of the guitar comes right through. Amp seems very well tweaked. Very warm and full. I like it a lot!

I really liked that Norm.
Was that neck pup only?

Some good cruisin' vibes! :D

Very cool wankage. You're so quick to put your own playing down, but everything I hear from you is tasty.

I can't really comment on the tone as I only have my PC speakers connected right now but it seems nice. What's the speaker in the cab?

Thanks guys! :D To answer a few questions:

Except for the the last few bars of the track, everything was played on the neck pickup. (Duncan Antiquity)

The cab is a 1 x 12 ported cab that's very similar to a Dumble cab. Speaker is an Emi DeltaPro.

Bob, the thing I HATE about my playing is that I'm in a rut and don't take the time or use the discipline to learn new stuff. :( I think I really need to get out and play! (We WILL be jammin' in May, though. )

Thanks again! BT is from Dr Ika at TGP. This thread:

Stelligan, I'm inclined to agree. There's an edginess to the Tele that really appeals to me. It also has this hairy edge to the note when you brush the pick over the strings that's not as pronounced with the AS83. Still learning the instrument, but it's quickly becoming #1.

Hey Normster, It's been said many times before but Leo got it right the first time. I got a full bore double throwdown no holds barred bare fisted white knuckled tele build in nekkid neck and body stage that's gonna get the full Callaham setup with Lollars. Only hold up is that I stepped on one of my hearing aids and obliterated it. Now I got to get a new set......$800 after insurance. Cripes.

That sure sounds good.

Normster,

Just noticed that is a Delta-Pro speaker. How many hours on it? And have the highs perked up? Very pleasing sound.

TIA

Amazing sound!! Tasteful playing too! I like the way the tone is "brown" yet you can hear the singe coil sound !
