I had a Diaz protype here of this amp. A client had purchased it in NYC off the floor of a store, can't remember the name of the store. But he did tell me that he had called them about it a few months later, either asking for a more formal receipt or some info (this was in 1998). He told me the guy on the phone said, "What? What are you talking about?" My friend explained what it looked like and that it was signed by Cesar Dias. "Who sold you that amp? It was not for sale, you bring it back here!" My friend tells the store guy that he bought it fair and square, that it was his, and then he hung up. :) It was assembled in a SFPR chassis. Cesar had replaced the rectifier tube with another 6L6 and managed to shoehorn the 4th 6L6 in, too. A BFTR OT, as well. The faceplate was a faded brown gold plexiglass affair with hand-written black lettering etched into the backside of the plexiglass at the knobs - and these were somehow etched backwards into the plexi such that it read forward. Kinda wondered about that at the time. Loaded with an EV12L. The circuit board was the original piece I think, and he covered it with a brown spray foam, such that you couldn't see the parts. This foam was slightly eroding, kinda fragile, and one day it will be gone, I think. It needed some work, it had some noises, but there was nothing I would do to it because of the possible value of the amp. He paid $750 for it he said. He moved to Colorado a year later and I never saw or heard from him since.

What I regret most about this is I didn't have the benefit of a cell phone camera to take any pictures. I thought I would see it again, but I never did.

I don't have a schematic for the CD100 but did build a Diaz PT-20 a few years back based of pictures of a friend's amp. It's was just a Fender Deluxe Reverb with boost switching.

Looking at pictures of the CD100 it appears to be a Fender 100w reverb with pull boost on treble knob, pull cut on the bass knob, and master volume.
