There was a certain old, purple Marshall Plexi head that Lynch used on a lot of his 80's stuff in the studio as I remember. It was owned by a rental company in L.A. (maybe Andy Brauer or S.I.R.?) and I remember reading something about him continually trying to buy it from them because he loved it so much.

WooHoo! That is GREAT news Glen!
+1 looking forward to it.

Lynch's tech has led me in the wrong direction before, he's been in the scene a little too long, methinks.....

yeah, he used that purple marshall on the tours just b4 under lock and key, and during recording of under lock and key. also used a wreck a bit at this time as well. slash rented that marshall after lynch? i forget.
i do know it was blown up and never sounded the same.
Lynch has always been on the move with gear ever since I worked in the Kramer factory and delivered Mr. Scary to Radio City Music Hall during the under lock and key tour . George was playing a Tim Caswell modified plexi 100 that he leased for the tour . He had plans to scheme to get it *somehow* . SIR wouldn't sell it , it was their most popular rental , rumors have it as the amp Slash used on their breakout LP . Lynch was also plotting to jack Warren DiMartini's plexi 100 . The S.I.R. amp during the soundcheck in Radio City was one of the best guitar sounds I have ever heard . The Express was seen in alot of Lynch pictures lurking in the background . He always professed to borrowing amps from Aspen Pitman and I know he did , however Wicked sensation doesn't have the express on it . its mostly two plexi 50's . The wreck may have been used on under lock and key and the second Lynch Mob album . He claimed it wasn't loud enough .
Bob Speck from Zenon played wrecks in New Jersey , Hiroshi Yagi , Miami Sound Machine . Brian adams track Its only love with Tina Turner is a classic express . Most of the guys that played plexi's back then never left a plexi ken tuned up . Metallica had a Climax in the studio for the some kind of monster footage . Beyond that alot is kept on the down low . I understand Steven Segal is quite the gear hord and alot of these wound up in Japan when Flametops were starting the 5 figure ascent . Mark Brazillian from the hooters was also on the list . Its funny to think like that but , alot of these guys kept their mouth shut . 1500 for a secret weapon was an utter steal . Although plexi's could be bought all day for around 500$ back then . The hot spot was the Birch Hill Night club in Marlboro New Jersey . On any given night it was possible to hear kens gear in that club . Weather it was me , Jeff Wylant (aka Zach Wylde),Ken Dubman ,Dave Depietro ,Joe Taylor , on and on ..... ..........David Scott

Just a side note! Birch Hill is now a bunch of Condo's. They blazed the lot and put them up a few years ago. I was sad to see it go. All we have left in Central Jersey is the Stone Pony and now Starland (The old Hunka Bunka Ballroom). There's also the State theater in New Brunswick and Count Basie Theater in Red Bank but they are not clubs. It's a really bad scene for bands these days.

When is the release?
And do you already take orders?

The drummer and I have just barely starting the next batch of recordings so it will be sometime before I get a 2nd CD done.
That said, these days I mostly do sideman stuff, on the road with Eddy Raven and other artists. HOWEVER in a couple months I plan to get out and do some shows playing my original material from the my CD. I'm trying to get booked at the Dallas guitar show as a performer, but that is a hard nut to crack as most of their acts return every year and few new ones get added.
Actually what I am really looking forward to doing is some guitar clinics. Just recently I started remixing my CD to create "tracks" to play along with. I know that's almost Karaoke, but it will be cool to peform the tunes from my CD with full backup in a guitar clinic setting. I'll keep the forums posted on this when some dates get firmed up...
Glen- It would be very cool to see you at the Dallas show.... I go every year! It's not as good of a guitar show as Arlington from a guitar selling standpoint, but it has live acts, which Arlington does not.
Let us know if you are coming, we'll throw out the red carpet!

How can I get info on the Dallas Guitar Show... when is it? I have family in Dallas and I'd like to check out the show and visit.
Glen,
My-co here, I still have the DVD copy that Ken Mailed to me for my B-day. Thank U again for making the DVD. Ken and I talked about it for hours about it. I know he was pleased.
I will call or write soon
My-co
Cool to hear from you. I'll send a PM. By the way My-Co was talking about those 4 low res videos I did of my Wreck in the living room (that are here in the files section) that I later sent to Ken. Ken then asked me to make him some copies for friends. I was actually suprised that he liked them, they were really raw improv recording with a cheap camcorder. That was about the last I talked with Ken, not knowing that he got much sicker later in that year.
