Hi. I guess the CalRad DPDT "Ice Cube" Relay is difficult to get, so, what can one use instead? I am looking into the 2nd g 50w/ODS. And I wonder what materiel the original boards were made of?
And in the lower right corner is a electrolytic, is i 20uf as well?

Re: CalRad DPDT "Ice Cube" Relay
If you look at the thread, a bit lower on the first page, martin manning posts a closeup of an alternate relay:

if you look at this picture in the thread:
https://ampgarage.com/forum/download/fi ... &mode=view
it shows its a 20uF.
I don't know why there's not a schematic anywhere on that thread... hmm.
Dumble often used formica as his board material, but that does look more like FR4/Garolite. Not sure. I personally always use FR4/Garolite because it's way more solid than anything I've used, and easily available.

Doug Hoffman sells relay boards and relays
https://hoffmanamps.com/MyStore/perlsho ... =209221540
And the Hoffman forum has quite a bit of info with schematics, layouts and photos on relay switching

Re: CalRad DPDT "Ice Cube" Relay
I have bought the ones I have from Hoffman, but I was just curious about the Calrads. Seems like a lot of parts for the Dumbles are hard to get.10thTx wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2019 4:54 pm Doug Hoffman sells relay boards and relays

Re: CalRad DPDT "Ice Cube" Relay
Thanks again. The Garolites seems expensive though.pompeiisneaks wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2019 4:02 pm If you look at the thread, a bit lower on the first page, martin manning posts a closeup of an alternate relay:
