Yep.
The pics are from his gig on Nov. 10 in Minden, Germany.
Had my place just in front of the stage in a very small (jazz)club.
Nice atmosphere but - it was L O U D

So he does use a Zen.
I thought he was using a TS-808.
Strange that he brought his Dumble.
I read an interview in VG where he said that he isn't taking the D amp around much because of it's value and just has the venue supply a couple twin reverbs.
Just goes to show you that you can't believe everything you read....

"Very small" is right. It looks like you could reach over and tug on his pants leg to request a song.Runaway J wrote: Had my place just in front of the stage in a very small (jazz)club.

Re: Guess who ...
You can see where that purple cable goes from the wah OUT into the Twin and it looks like the input cable for the Dumble goes behind the amps. Where does the guitar cable get plugged in? Is that cable with the red 90 degree end that plugs into the Zen IN his guitar cable?
Wouldn't those settings for the clean on the Dumble make for a fairly bassy and dark clean tone? Or are those settings purely for getting the best OD tone? Looks like the Bright switch is OFF too.
Runaway J, what was being used for what tones?

Re: Guess who ...
Looks like he is using the TC2290 in stereo. The Dumble set clean for one side. Zen/Twin for OD tone.
I don't know anyone who uses the bright switch fwiw.
Also, the lead ratio control is set very high relative to the master and clean channel input gain. Unfortunately, this does not conclusively prove HRM or Non HRM since he apparantly is using the Zen for lead tone. The Dumble lead channel is set for really low levels of OD if he clicked on it at all. Which I doubt based on the pictures. He may have had volume issues with the small club.

Re: Guess who ...
Too bad you didn't get a pic of the little tag attached to the amp's handle, that's Dumble's service tag, and would say exactly what was done to the amp the last time it was worked on!

I think dogears is right. Dumble on one side and Fender+Zen on the other. Dunno if volume was his problem, but I can tell that he seemed not to be to happy with his sound. Never have seen him switching round and round that much (between amps, pickups, OD/CL, ...). Maybe he should try a Dlight
. The Fender/Zen combination could not reach the ODS tonewise IMO. Less harmonics and more rough sounding. His playing was of course virtuosic as always.
The ODS had 100W (I could see 4 power tubes from the side/behind).
He did not adjust any of the pots during his performance. So here are his settings:

I think what I dig most about these pictures is all the liquid on top of his amp. My virgin vinyl is about to be christened with its first budweiser sweat ring! It's time to relic the rig......

I was watching the Crossroads 2007 concert on DVD. When John mayer was playing, I was able to get a quick close-up of his Dumble Amp. After looking at the pictures Runaway J posted, John and Robben both have their EQ's dial in exactly the same. Interesting

Not sure I would have beverages sitting on top of a $20k+ amp if it were mine......
Re: Guess who ...
Is that a window behind his amp? and no carpet? by the looks of the eq, he was fighting to tame the mids and highs. Notice the grease pencil marks on the amp. Normal settings, no? I assume these pics were taken before the place filled up. I wonder what the settings looked like after the show...
