OTOH it takes a lot of coolant to keep going on construction jobs. My father was a carpenter. I remember visiting the job sites, outside the foundation the area was paved with empty beer cans. In that time, early 60's, Rolling Rock ponies were popular, 7 ounce short cans stayed cold to the last drop, 99 cents a six-pack. They'd send the new guy out to the grocery at lunch time with a $5 bill or 2, load up on beer & ice, flail away all afternoon. It's a wonder anything went up straight. Rolling Rock even though now made in Newark is still my go to workin' beer, also good for a cool down after mowing the lawn. Your PBR works much the same. Save the fancy stuff for dinner or an evening quaff.

If you can make oatmeal, you can brew. I have $300-$400 tied up in equipment (so far). That includes the garage fridge and the two coca-cola syrup kegs. I don't use a carboy. I use buckets. I usually brew a light colored ale and a darker or amber ale on alternate weekends. I'll have two five gallon buckets in the coat closet (about three weeks) and instead of bottling, I transfer straight to the keg, put it in the fridge and crank the co2 to about 25 lbs. for 48 hours. Bleed off the pressure and recharge at 5-6 lbs.
I've got a witbier golden and an oatmeal stout in the fridge that I put in the closet after Thanksgiving. I brew from kits 'cause it's easier. It usually takes about 2 hours to brew 5 gallons from start thru cleanup.

You never know when a rampaging herd of white tails will charge you.That 100 rounder is a life saver.
I used to Drink good beer back when people built new houses.Moosehead is one of my favs I like new castle and there were a few micro brews around that was good. PBR isnt to bad Its actually got some flavor and it aint no watered down 3.9% crap. Try it in the bottle.Next thing you know yull be beatin on your old lady and using old pickups parked in your yard for trash receptacles.
