Wow, very good video, good audio sync, even. These old concert videos never stop making me gawp at the people in the audience. Look at them! No expression, no motion, either totally mind-blown (I hope) or just sitting there drooling because they have NO idea what they're seeing.

It's Paris. They're French. Way too cool for LZ

Yuuup!
My dad was in the audience at ‘La Maison de la Radio’ during this concert and he told me later that the people here came as a crushing blow to them.
The same when Jimi Hendrix performed at the Olympia in 1967, they called him ‘the guitars eater’ (le mangeur de guitares): http://hardprog.pagesperso-orange.fr/bo ... de_419.htm
So now, you know why my country isn’t really the right rock’n’roll place, it’s a pity. As xtian underline it, look at the expression of the guys and galles. They were ‘prout prout’ (snob) as we say.

Sometimes, I’m asking myself why I'm not born in UK or USA, hum… I’m kidding…!?
Well, the best action my father managed was to offer me my first LP when I was 12 years old, Paranoid/Black Sabbath my very first vinyl. After that, I saw all the concerts in Paris, the first one was Deep Purple in 1974, when Ritchie left the group. He destroyed a couple of Strats during the encore (I was deaf two days after this concert).
Thanks a lot HeeBGB to remember me those souvenirs.

Re: Early Zeppelin in Paris.
All I can say is listen to those fucking drums. Bonham's drumming is so good that it makes everything else sound great.

I think it is really telling when guitar players perk up their ears for the drummer. I had the same reaction. He was in a class by himself.vibratoking wrote:All I can say is listen to those fucking drums. Bonham's drumming is so good that it makes everything else sound great.

Found this footage from the same era, the audience seems to be more expressive, ha ha ha...: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVjzPqcdHXQxtian wrote:Look at them! Re: Early Zeppelin in Paris.
I finally found a chance to watch the first clip. The most amazing part to me is that Bonham is able to change shirts and change back without missing a beat! Oh, and that drumming thing he does was pretty good too.

This is extraordinary. There is the audience not separated from the bands, many of whom were to become legends in their own time. Peter Green appears with the real original Fleetwood Mac near the end. While only featured on only one tune, it is still a flash of real guitar genius.deeder wrote:Found this footage from the same era, the audience seems to be more expressive, ha ha ha...: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVjzPqcdHXQ
