My dad was in the audience at ‘La Maison de la Radio’ during this concert and he told me later that the people here came as a crushing blow to them.

Well, the best action my father managed was to offer me my first LP when I was 12 years old, Paranoid/Black Sabbath my very first vinyl. After that, I saw all the concerts in Paris, the first one was Deep Purple in 1974, when Ritchie left the group. He destroyed a couple of Strats during the encore (I was deaf two days after this concert).

I think it is really telling when guitar players perk up their ears for the drummer. I had the same reaction. He was in a class by himself.

I finally found a chance to watch the first clip. The most amazing part to me is that Bonham is able to change shirts and change back without missing a beat! Oh, and that drumming thing he does was pretty good too.

This is extraordinary. There is the audience not separated from the bands, many of whom were to become legends in their own time. Peter Green appears with the real original Fleetwood Mac near the end. While only featured on only one tune, it is still a flash of real guitar genius.
