Did they use partridge transfomers ? I had a few sound city heads,
I was very impressed with partridge transfomers, much higher quality Iron.
That iron has serious agressive ballz. I had a 6 el34 sound city , I bought as
is and brought her back to life, The amp was insanely loud, If dimed you
really needed ear plugs. The sound city amps some called sound shitty,
the tone controls needed very very careful tweaking as they could drive the
signal to mush when turned up, player really had to adjust tone stack
carefully even take extra time to explore it limits and range. It was very
easy if you set it like a marshall or other amp to make it sound shitty, I liked
the hot rod 50 I think it was, altho I never found one to buy.
Partridge Iron Really kicks ass tho.
