educational resources
greetings. i was browsing the web for some books and info on tube amps and i came across a book by merlin blencowe with good reviews. however the price is insane and the availability is rare at best. now i have completed my bassman build successfully, and i have been messing around with my fender amps, but i find myself thirsting for more knowledge. i just got a bunch of transformers and tubes from the flea market here for real cheap and i was wanting some easy to understand but more technical info on how to design around the transformers for a cool guitar amp. i can learn pretty quick but i dont know where to go for the knowledge. other than college and that aint happinin! any good insight or book titles/ websites would be greatly appreciated.

Re: educational resources
This has been discussed many times. There is even a sticky here:

Sorry for this, but it seems nobody bothers to read this site anymore. A little research goes a long way. Merlin is a member here by the way. You can buy his preamp book here:
http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/valve_wizard
for $39. Not out of line at all. The power supply book has been discussed here as well. Merlin took it out of print because he is not happy with it. If $2,420.43 is too much, I'll sell you my copy for $2250.

Re: educational resources
Lots of power supply info available on Merlin's site at no cost. $39 is a steal for a technical book these days.
Re: educational resources
