Looking for “Crucial sucky playing and terrible audio” sounds like an invitation that I just can't refuse. LOL!!!
I built-up my Tweedle-Dum in a prototype chassis that I use to "audition" circuits before committing to full-on builds. It has a single input with the V-1 triode sections wired in parallel. Each triode side has its own 1M volume pot. A treble peaker (ala 59 Bassman/5F6A) is strapped across one of the pots to allow the blending of normal and bright tones on-the-fly.
I also have an octal socket wired in parallel at the V-1 position. All else is per the Charlie Wilson provided plan.
These really quick-n-dirty Zoom recordings were made with a red base 5691 (industrial 6SL7) in the V-1 position, an early 70’s Les Paul Custom with SD Holy Grail pick-ups plugged straight in and two stacked 1X12” cabinets (one with a Scumback and one with a Weber Blue Dog).
I had originally installed a Heybor 8K primary OT. It sounded decent……but……not great. Kind of dry and sterile and lacking harmonic “richness” probably describes it best. I subsequently scored a couple of Steve’s (Member: 67Plexi) suggested Schumacher OT (K-58459, 7.5K primary). Those provided a huge improvement in tone and feel!
I will provide a couple of pictures in a subsequent post.
Cheers,
Dave O.

THANK YOU! For the audio. Sounds cool. I just may have to give in to the Tweedy craze.ampgeek wrote: These really quick-n-dirty Zoom recordings were made with a red base 5691 (industrial 6SL7) in the V-1 position, an early 70’s Les Paul Custom with SD Holy Grail pick-ups plugged straight in and two stacked 1X12” cabinets (one with a Scumback and one with a Weber Blue Dog).
Re: Tweedy
Sounds and looks very nice!! Very similar to mine.
Here's the link to mine's presentation with the sound samples in the first post:

Re: Tweedy
Thank you gentlemen!
Although I really...really like the tone and feel of this circuit, I can't see it fitting into my gigging-rig anytime soon. It just doesn't fit my style and configuration at the moment.
Rock on,
Dave O.
