I'm looking for some fresh ideas to bring add a little life to the clean side of a 2nd gen build. I mean it's decent, but a little boring. I've got a classic stack and dual masters, and a small cap across the clean master helps a bit.
I've tried 220K//XXXpf at the CL2 grid, and right before the clean master, but off course doing that to the CL2 grid throws the OD out of whack a little, and putting it right before the clean master just serves to cut bass.
I'm looking for a bit of a rounder, fuller tone, and smoother top end, but there's really nothing to the clean side, so I'm kinda scratchin my head on where to tweak!
It does sound good with the mid boost and PAB, but I'd rather find another way besides dropping in more relays for the clean-only-thing.
Any input is welcome.

Some ideas:
You could start by increasing the V1b output coupler to at least
.02, which may entail changing the V2a coupler to .01 if you feel
you have too much bass in OD mode. You could also
try modding the amp to 3rd generation specs, i.e. 250k treble pot
and losing the .02 cap on the bass pot. Significant change.
Just my two (euro)cents (.0216 USD)

Re: 2nd gen clean
Thanks for the thoughts, guys. I'd been thinking along the same lines as marcos as far as the CL2 coupler.
So, I made that 100n headed to the channel relay. Then, off the relay to the OD entrance, I've got a 27n. So OD side stays at ~20n(I personally always like this value here as opposed to the 10n), and now the clean channel is basically a Bandmaster. I've got a 50p across the clean MV, I think probably 40p will do. Big round sparkly cleans now
