Ah ha! Thanks for your input. I've heard they were great quiality and have wanted try their transformers for a while now so when I was met with such resistance I was a bit put off. I have ordered runs of 10-20 from Heyboer before and Phil was as helpful as could be. This time around I wanted to give those pretty blue ones a try.

Do you guys know how they wind their stock transformers? Are they interleaved like the dynacos? They said they had no idea how an a470 was built.

I was also interested in the XPP with wire leads instead of terminals but they said that that was what the GXPP was for. I was interested in the little channel frame ot's for upgrades to blues jr's and such.

I still want to try them out but this time around I will have to look elsewhere as the 6 week lead time will put me past my deadline.

How did you get tem to respond positively to your custom requests?

These Edcor chokes might work well in SSS builds.

I got some custom winds done, years ago, by calling them on the phone and talking to them.
Maybe they're much busier now and not able to do the custom orders they once did.
They have a wide selection of transformer offerings on their website--- on my last several orders I was able to find what I needed and just ordered it.
Then I waited the @6 weeks for the order to be filled like it says on their website................. gldtp99

Always wanted to try some of those good looking blue transformers, but the look up and ordering process seemed kind of daunting.

Unless you actually wanted UL taps. Then his selection not only costs more, but is missing the important bits. *le sigh*
Ah, I'm not yet to the level of evil genius, so I don't yet have a need for UL taps. Currently, I'm residing at malevolent half-wit.
