Read the entire ad; nowhere does it definitely states that it's even an output transformer! The transformer has no identifiable markings and the seller is not exactly sure what it is, so to me it looks like an old paper weight.

Mercury makes a clone of the 4-5 models of Triad tweed Bassman iron.

There's insufficient information to ascertain that, and I doubt that the seller would be willing to check the winding ratio.
But being as the (narrow panel) tweed bassman used a rather unusual 2 ohm secondary, the specs are unlikely to be the same.

"Tweed Bassman" is a relative term, what about the earlier iron that was 5K into a 4 or 8 ohm load. Most folks forget that there was 7 years of tweed Bassman prior to the 5F6A 4-10 model.

Ha, I realised my oversight and sneaked in the 'narrow panel' descriptor within a minute of first clicking 'submit'!

I'm late to the party. I'm going to comment because I really like to buy used/old iron on eBay and have done so a number of times. This one violates all my rules and I wouldn't buy it:

As noted, there is no clear statement as to what type of transformer. Wire colors are faded from age, making it difficult to understand. Six wires could be 3 primary and 3 secondary, looking like an OT. Or it could be 2 primary with 2 sets of secondaries, like a PT without center tap. At this price, I don't buy ambiguous.

Price. $89 is too much for an ambiguous item.

Says he's a dealer in vintage electronics, but gives no real info about the item. This means he's lazy or isn't really into this line of product. The best you get is the picture where someone wrote in green marker on the box that it is output for a Leslie. Even a simple posting of ohms readings would help us to understand if it is a PT or OT.

Assuming it is an OT, you don't know the impedance ratings. That's too risky for the price.

I might be willing to pay $25-30 including shipping for this item. I have bought similar in that price range.

You can probably buy a MC Classic Tone OT for around $70. On that basis, I'd determine the price is not competitive. I would feel very different if the seller was clear about the item and listed specs.
