Fired up and good to go! Sounds so great right off the bat. I'm glad I put the NFB on V1 on a switch, the flexibility is great. Reverb isn't too insane, very great and 3D sounding. I think I'm going to build the an ODS OD section into a dumbleator type thing and try that in the passive loop.

That looks real sharp Bease. Very nice. Glad to hear you are happy with it right off the bat. How do you find LNFB on V1?

Re: JM Two Rock build - Almost there!
I love it. This amp doesn't really break up, just adds a little sizzle when dialed up all the way. With NFB on, it stays super clean. Turn it off and you get the sizzle, lol.
With a quad of KT66s, it has less fender brightness and very warm sound, almost on the verge of being too muddy, but the bright switch and playin with the NFB switch on V1 yields a very good tone.

Love these things. They're great to have around.M Fowler wrote:Mike I'm sure Dustin is using insulated turrets like what I use.

Re: JM Two Rock build - Almost there!
I used the one Aaron kindly put together here on the forum. The only change I made was to replace the 205k (think that's what it is) with a 250 trimmer pot. Other than that, I followed it to the letter.lovetone wrote:Looking forward to a sound clip

Is this the schematic you are referring to, Mr. B?: https://tubeamparchive.com/download/file.php?id=30388beasleybodyshop wrote:I used the one Aaron kindly put together here on the forum. Also, can you share your KT66 anode B+ voltage and OT primary impedance?
Thanks!

Yes, i used that one. I forgot to mention a few other changes i made from that schematic:JazzGuitarGimp wrote:Is this the schematic you are referring to, Mr. B?: https://tubeamparchive.com/download/file.php?id=30388beasleybodyshop wrote:I used the one Aaron kindly put together here on the forum. I didnt use a dual secondary HT winding, i went with classictone fender twin iron. I kept all the filter caps in the schem and used that 47uf after the dual 220ufs.
i also used a single bias control and didnt use the half power switch. My KT66 plate voltages were around the 470v mark at 114v wall outlet voltage. After playing around with it some more, i preferred a set of GT 6L6GEs. KT66s were on the verge of coming across too muddy, but that's just me.
In all truth, the credit for this build goes out to everyone here at TAG who contributed info with pics and schematics. I was inspired by Mark Fowler's TR build, and he was very kind to give me great photos and drawings of his build process. Ive attached my layout, it has errors that i dont have time to go in and fix, but can give those who are interested an idea of what i did:

Bias resistor is labeled backwards in the layout. Guess how i figured that one out?

Great job Dustin, now enjoy.
Any updated layouts? Need your layout for my library.

Crappy cellphone pics, but it's all I can do right now lol. Studio is using it to track some parts for a record. Will have clips when they are finished with it
