Nice to see him traveling with such a simple rig. Just throw it in the overhead and fly, right?

Joe is not my favorite guitarist, but he is growing on me a bit. One thing I do like is his tone. My respect for the Jubilee has grown quite after listening to his live tone.

Cool video.

His latest album isnt all that great IMO. most of his stuff from 2004-2012 was pretty awesome. Always had good tone - seems like lately he throws too much leslie type noises into his mix.

For me it`s just HEARING what they really sound like, most of the HRM`s that i KNOW are HRM,,sound very close to that, very open, and HIFI sounding....the Van Weeldens are really ridiculous, love that sound!

I believe he is using a Jim Kelly/Suhr edition amp as well.

Well maybe not that might have been earlier.

I like this keyboard rig run down too. :)

When I saw him about 4 years ago at the Florida Theater, his Jubilee smoked.

The tech was pretty quick about changing it out for another one mid-song, just like on this video.

Lots of people probably don't even notice when this happens - maybe a good argument for using more than one amp?

I recently watched the video that M Fowler posted of Joe playing live in Des Moines, and I noticed there is an old Altair PW-5 Power Attenuator on top of one of the Dumble Combos. Does anyone have any experience with the Altair or have any more info on the one Joe is using?

Thanks in advance for any info,

LDC
