I took measurements of the mojos and also the ones from the ebay bassman panel and posted them here https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.php?p=313733

Re: mojo 30% taper pots?
Hello, I am curious to see what kind of luck people had with those panels that were on Ebay. I purchased one and found that the carbon traces in the pots were in very bad shape. After cleaning them with Deoxit, I had one 250k 2-35 go completely bad. The other pots I noticed the more I rotated the pot the higher the pot value went. Meaning that the trace was wearing off from friction. Maybe I had bad luck and the others are fine.

I bought one of these several months ago and most of them were very dirty and about 1/2 were bad after extensive cleaning with Deoxit pot cleaner.Charlie Wilson wrote:Hello, I am curious to see what kind of luck people had with those panels that were on Ebay. Re: mojo 30% taper pots?
The panel I received had 5 2-35 pots. 4 were good and 1 was bad. The 4 good ones all measured 280K and higher. I consider it money well spent but I'll probably use the mojos in my build lol

Chris, on the ones that are good, try rotating them back and forth and measure them again. If the resistance keeps going up, the pot may be questionable.

Re: mojo 30% taper pots?
Just got mine. So far I think it's a good deal even after $12 in freight, a 92 cent Cdn $, and Paypal's 2.5% xch adder
One faceplate had five 2-35s and three 999Ks. Of the nine total 2-35s, after rotating to free them up a bit, I got four about 3% or better tolerance, one at 6%, one at 8% and the rest were just over 10%, these last all low, except one that was 14% low.
Being as I moved 3 months ago I can't find my spray pot cleaner, will have to hunt it down and work on them, then measure them again.
One of the lower tolerance pots was very hard to turn, might be no good.
UPDATE: Found my Deoxit Fader Lube, cleaned them up. The low ones came up quite a bit, one went bad (+700K) the closer tolerance ones didn't move much at all, and the remaining 8 good ones are all between 244K and 265K.

Re: mojo 30% taper pots?
Mojo vintage taper pots are fabulous for guitar in to amp with gain control. rolling back a bit on the guitar puts me in a heavenly spot.
I did find they seem to roll off differently with guitar in to clean amp with a pedal board.
I won't pretend to tell you I know or understand the physics of it but I found that rolling back even a little bit changes the overdrive a lot. And, not in a good way. Can't seem to find a sweet spot.

Update
I just got 15 of the Mojotone 250KA 30% pots. 12 of them are within +/-2%, the other three are "outliers" on the low side but still within quoted spec of 7% tolerance. They're all dated 13 41.
Getting 12 out of 15 between 245 to 255K was better than I expected! They look good but friction on them varies a bit, I would call it loose-ish to medium.
How does this compare with others' purchases?
