I pulled my Princeton Reverb's chassis the other night and was checking a few things out when (1st) I noticed that the ground cap was still in there with its original puddle of ground solder and firmly soldered to the switch. I checked it out and it had continuity with the hot wire from the wall. Not a problem as long as it doesn't fail shorted, but I still think the tech that serviced it over in NY should have known better. However, now I have a good cap that will probably yield $20 on Ebay.

I'll just give it a quick test for leakage before posting it. After removing the cap, (2nd) I noticed something odd firmly tucked between the wires and front of the chassis, beneath the treble pot. I pulled it out and it's a Christmas light! How it got there is a mystery to me but wondering is pretty fun. Should I put it back? I mean, there might be some mojo to it. It think it's a good idea.
