Heater wires - to fly or not to fly?

Hi guys,

I'm working on a D clone (80's era). I've always done the "fly the heater wires" like Fender used to...basically twisted and above and over the top of the tube sockets about 1" off the chassis. I see some people will lay them along the chassis floor toward the back (along the bottom/back). Which is better, and does it matter? I started going for the "along the chassis back" style in this build, but started wondering if that was not a good idea.

When cloning a Dumble amp it is best to use the construction methods that Alex Dumble used.

Both types of heater wiring are acceptable.
Fender and other American amps are usually over the top,
while amps like Marshalls put them on the floor in the back.

Dumbles have more wires running along the back so wiring them above the sockets seems to make sense.
