1976 JMP Master volume model MKII
I scored this sorry piece of Marshall for $150. I'm planning to restore it. It's one of the first MV models Marshall made.
The PT is missing, it needs new caps and a cabinet.....

It's an early 2203. I know exactly what it is. I was just posting what I got...

Re: 1976 JMP Master volume model MKII
Okay yes, 2203. I missed the two extra filter caps in the first photo. It appears f that there was no way to jumper the inputs ion the early 220X series amplifiers - sacrificed for a Master Vol pot. Later schematics show that the inputs were ganged in series (ala JCM800). Does that sound right?
Thanks - and good find.

This amp still has the original Daly 50/50 can caps. Do you guys think I should replace those?
Thanks

Hee Nederlander!
I would replace those old caps as one of the first things. Don't forget those bias caps when you are in there... Cool amp!
Have fun!

I scored an original NOS faceplate on Ebay. The original one is missing. How lucky can you be?
Anyway, the reason I asked is becuz you see all these seventies Marshalls with these original Daly caps still going strong.

Coen,
My 1959 superlead D series (Marked Dharma on the front BTW!) sounded a lot better with the old caps replaced. They were the dark blue caps BTW.

I have the same amp and it still has the GE 6550's and the original filter caps and it sounds killer!
