Got it! The wiper on the high volume pot was broken. I wasn't even working over there.
Still have some hum on the high volume when it gets above 8. I noticed that the bright cap is missing from the volume pot and there is a resister in series from the wiper to the board (not sure of the value). I think I might put this back to stock or even the 100 pf ala 1959. I still think the bass could be tighter but I love the tone I am getting!
Why stranded wire???
