I wanted to know that too, TAG has all the answers. I used to subscribe but I think I stopped after 8, I never knew how many issuses they went to before they folded. Anyone know where to DL the later half?

Ever check out Glass Audio? I actually think I have every issue in a box somewhere. Both were way beyond my pay grade, though VTV was more accessible with history, but a tech friend once told me to read through the articles anyway even if you don't understand it, eventually you'll start to get it. It's what I do here.

Reading VTV now is like torture as it's all become so unobtainable  I have a pretty nice stash of tubes but it was all Fender oriented, I didn't save any 7027s, 8417s, All the Mullards and Genalex for guitars amps, and TungSol 6550s. I could now be sitting in dim lights in front of the fireplace fondling my EL37s. Oh well, I'm not married to Michelle Pfeiffer either.

I used to pull 7027s out of Traynors and give them away - doh!

OK Leo, if you come up with a guitar amp using a 350B please post it. I was always curious why no one ever built a SE guitar amp using directly heated triodes like 300B or 2A3 etc. I understand why a company never did but no diy tweakers seem to either. If I knew what I was doing I'd give a 300B Champ a shot. Or a 2A3 bedroom amp??? One volume, no tone stack, few parts - it's tubes, how dang bad could it sound?
