Came across a post today by an IT wizard complaining about MicroSoft Win8. It seems relevant ...... or reelavent .... to this thread ...... sort of .... inasmuch as this forum is hosted ..... and hosts always require moderators and a minimum-daily-requirement of evil ..... which is "live" backwards ...... if you know what I mean, and I think you do. But I digress ...... here was a reply to that complaint:

I'll tell you a little story about hosts.

My Father-In-Law is a very devout Catholic. He delivers consecrated communion hosts to hospital patients that can't get to church. He once gave a host to an extremely elderly man lying prone in a hospital bed. The man couldn't quite manage to consume it, and the partially masticated host was ejected onto his chin. Now, a devout and penitent man knows the host can not simply be thrown away, without incurring a latae sententiae excommunication (automatic excommunication, do not pass Go, do not collect $200 heavenly dollars) . If a host were to fall upon the floor, it should be immediately retrieved and consumed. In the case of the elderly man, it is acceptable to wrap the partially consumed host in linen (not to be confused with the Lenin, however he would have better served mankind in that capacity) and returned to the parish priest for proper disposal (dissolve in Holy Water and pour the liquid down the sacristies sacrarium ....... a special sink with a drain going directly into the ground, not the sewer ...... When such is not available, the liquid should be poured on the ground in a location that would not be walked over, such as behind a flower bed that is along a wall, at the foot of a statue or similar places). But that's not what my Father-In-Law did. He ate it.

Apparently, Micro$haft requires similar dedication and sacrifice from their minion. Q.E.D.

yeah the PM deal about attachments has been a thorn in our side for a long time.
I can delete everything in my PM boxes but it makes no difference.

You either have to link outside the forum via Photobucket or Picasso (to name a couple) or God forbid, exchange email addresses.

Attachments in pm's work but there's a trick.
1) Turn 360 degrees around & click your heels together 3 times.
2) Delete all your messages (losing all the important stuff)
3) Wait 2 years.
You can now attach pics to 3 pm's.
I don't know if it's a one shot deal.
I'll report back in 2 years.
