How many country players to change a lightbulb?

5.... 1 to change it.... 4 to sing about how much they miss the old one....

I know, I know...oooof

Saw Bill Kirchen at a tiny club in Portsmouth, NH a few years ago...

He ripped, really impressive...

I love Redd's style, keeping more traditional country western, although he can rip up a lead like nobody.

This new Taylor Swift and others just doesn't do it.

I mean, where is the misery, rodeo belt buckle, pickup truck stuff?

I don't you should be called country if you a'int been to jail at least once.

This new radio pop crap ain't country.its mass produced crap that's selling a look to the dipshits that think they're cool cause they act like what the media says.

My woman used to watch that show with Donald Trump. They had some dumbass on there the were gonna make a star.he had some awful song about corn and rain.they told him how to act and dress and wear his hair and sure enough that horrible song is on the radio all of the time

That shit is the exact opposite of country

Yeah, I'm sure there are a few old timers rolling in their graves about the direction this style of music has become. :(

Rock is king and country knows it. When the rock machine stopped making good albums, country stole rock's music and kept the twang. That's when 'country' wildly took off.

There certainly are some great musicians in that scene...what really drives me nuts is the vocals...2nd grade lyrics, and that over-the-top exaggerated southern accent so many of them do...

Brent Mason is a monster player, as we all know..

Have any of you guys ever heard of Scotty Anderson?

Grab a rag to catch the drool if you watch this

I think that the country western genre might be easier to break into than rock.

Maybe that is why C/W music has moved into more of a pop rock style than before.

How many current bands have pedal steel players anymore?

I agree Structo....it does seem like fans of new country and new "soul"/rap music will embrace just about anything...

I do love listening to good pedal steel players....
This thread is making me want to go find my Speedy West & Jimmy Bryant records...
