Good one Firestorm. Add this to today's genuine quotes, this one from Mrs. Bible-thumper next door. "Those awful Liberals! We gotta do away with Liberal Education. You know, Liberal "Arts". We need engineers & doctors not English teachers and music and art." So now one of her broadcast brainwashers has her convinced that Liberal Arts breeds Liberals. (Must be very grating for the conservative who wants to be an English teacher.) Then I asked her about her grandson @ 17 y/o, starting to look at colleges. He's a wiz at baseball so . . . he's looking at schools with strong sports programs. On the face of it, yeah that's good, but OTOH who needs sports, it's not essential, just entertainment after all, shouldn't sports be lumped in with all the rest of the Liberal Arts she's been taught to detest? The irony is amazing.
