The Mullards are a pulled quad for a Syly 6ca swap I remember, but someone picked alot of the other stuff. A box full of mostly awesome and rat crap.

Win! I LOVE RAT CRAP!!

I did find 2 Raytheon 5U4GBs to go in the only testicle rocking tube rec thing I will ever built with the Michigan Monster transformer that keeps gawking at me.

Also win! Hope they all work.

Send me the Moolards and I'll test them for you in my tube checker. You don't need them back reel soon, do you? :P

If you would kindly move that quad of Mullards away from the edge of the table (towards safety), and retake that picture I'll be forever grateful. Pondering that precarious positioning punctuates ponderous unpropitious potential of Ptolemaic principles.

Man, whenever I see a box of tubes at a garage sale they are all oddball tubes that have no place in a guitar amp.....

My cousin's friend goes to estate sales and buys old organs, pulls the tubes and throws away the organ.....

I told him he better not be butchering Hammonds.... :x
Tom

Don't let that smoke out!

I pulled up to look at a blue 66 Mustang Fastback in an ad and when the guy opened his garage I saw the walls lined with shelves and soap barrels full of tubes. I bought around 2200 tubes for $150. There used to be multitudes of NOS for Fenders besides the many many many 34s and seriously good ax7s. Mostly sold off and traded at guitars shows or used on tours until extinction. :)

It used to be easy.

Wow Reel, I'm duly jealous! Crap. It's always the other guys that find stuff like that at garage sales. I live for moments like those, and they don't come very often at all. Maybe I need to move to a different area where people have a better caliber of junk to sell.

Ever check out the Black Hole in Los Alamos? Heckuva store. Hope it's still open. I dunno about tubes but you could spend a couple days in there just poking around. Surplus research gear of (almost) every sort. Nothing too radioactive hence the almost.

Thanks Leo, I'll look for the Black Hole next time I go to Los Alamos. We don't get over there very often, even though it's not that far on the map. I dig surplus gear!

Look for the glow.

Black Hole gone, drat.

I'm sure there are other similar outfits in the Los Alamos area. Also, someone has to handle the castoffs from Sandia Labs.
