Re: Dr. Z Galaxie
Someone messaged me about the fact that the first two gain stages are parallel and do not go into series for ch 2. This picture shows pretty clearly that the input jack goes to two grid resistors, the 22k has a brown wire that goes under the board to the grid of v1b. I did also check continuity on the relay to confirm that it switches between both volume controls.
Ch 2 comes on very quickly and seems to have a ton of gain. I think the .0068 bright cap may have a bit to do with it. Once this channel comes on the volume doesn't change much but just adds more dirt.

Re: Dr. Z Galaxie
I confirmed ch2, v1b cathode bypass cap is 10uF from my master vol model. Here are some pics also from my phone, sorry my camera is at home and amp is at work. This is also a later model #1??

Wow again

So the MV version has 2x relays.....one to switch volumes/gain, and a second to switch in the MV to balance the output with the extra gain.
Thx again

So......
Would it be way to much to ask for some basic voltages?

Re: Dr. Z Galaxie
yep, everything is put back together and put away.jon wrote:So......

however they should be the same as the tweed super, around 415v on the first filter with a 5u4

Thanks again man
Relay type
Hi guys, anyone who knows relay kind and relay's power supply? I live in Italy and we got 220 VAC
thanks

Re: Dr. Z Galaxie
Hello , I just got a Galaxie in a trade and would love to have a layout of the master vol on the gain channel . I can only use it with pedals and use it as a solo boost with the volume levels we have to play at . any help wold be great and i have no problem putting a pot on the back . Layouts work better for me due to a brain tumor and schematics with parallel lines just mess me up now and its very frustrating . I just put a larmar ppmv in a Bassman for a friend but would really like to just tame the vol on the one channel. thanks so much for any help

Any pics of how the master on the drive channel is wired ? That would make my year.
