I managed to rewire a 335 copy.If I can do it it can't be that hard

Aquarium tubing pushed over the shafts, it fits really tight. Use a cardboard template to wire up the pots and caps. Hemostat helps too, if you got one.
I can do it in my sleep now after a few goes.

Another useful "tool" is a large, long zip tie and a little strong tape. Put the "skinny" end of the zip tie through the round pot hole and run it out of the f-hole (or pickup cavity), tape it securely to a pot shaft, and pull the harness in to the body s-l-o-w-l-y and carefully. It also helps to assemble the pots/switch/jack on a template and then wire the harness. That way the controls and wires will already be where you want them to be. I did a 345 (stereo with Varitone) this way, and got it together - eventually. You need to be creative and use whatever works. Good luck!

What about adding kerf lining to back and front? I don't see how that has enough glue surface to ever be stable over the long haul.Reeltarded wrote:I can tell you that top is going to be HARD to refit, unless.. I would use laces and wood glue, rerout a new binding shelf and there ya go.
You've already heard enough ideas of how to get the controls in. I used to do them too. Fun stuff if you're in the right mood. Go fish!
P.S. to others: That's more like a ES-330 body style if you want to consider it in Gibson terms.
